  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

Nothing herein contained shall impair or affect the power or jurisdiction of the municipality, county, township, or school districts in which the corporations organized hereunder are located, and such corporations shall conform to applicable regulations of any governmental authority having jurisdiction therein.
