Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 275-H:3

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
Any employer who violates N.H. Rev. Stat. § 275-H:2 may be subject to a civil penalty not to exceed $2,500, to be imposed by the commissioner in accordance with the procedures established in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 273:11-a. Any person aggrieved by the commissioner’s assessment of such penalty may appeal in accordance with N.H. Rev. Stat. § 273:11-c.
