§ 27-0307. Waste transporter permit revocation notifications.
Terms Used In N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law 27-0307
- Waste: means any garbage, refuse, sludge from a waste treatment plant, water supply treatment plant or air pollution control facility, and other discarded material, including solid, liquid, semisolid or contained gaseous material resulting from industrial, commercial, mining and agricultural operations and from community activities, but does not include solid or dissolved material in domestic sewage, or solid or dissolved materials in irrigation return flows or industrial discharges which are point sources subject to permits under article 17 of this chapter, or source, special nuclear or by-product material as defined in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (68 Stat. See N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law 27-0303
After the issuance of an order of suspension or revocation of the permit of a waste transporter, the department shall publish notice of such suspension or revocation in a newspaper or newspapers having a general circulation in the area or areas served by the permittee and in the environmental notice bulletin published by the department. Such notice shall include a statement that the permittee is no longer licensed or permitted to handle such waste. The department shall publish such notice once each week for two consecutive weeks with the first publication to be completed on or before the fifteenth day following such revocation or suspension.
