Terms Used In South Carolina Code 31-5-40

  • Appraisal: A determination of property value.
  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
Any law or statute to the contrary notwithstanding, any sale, conveyance, lease or agreement authorized by § 31-5-30 may be made by a State public body without appraisal, public notice, advertisement or public bidding.
