Utah Code 19-1-103. Definitions

As used in this title:

(1)	“Department” means the Department of Environmental Quality.

Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Executive director: means the executive director of the department appointed pursuant to Section 19-1-104. See Utah Code 19-1-103
Local health department: means a local health department as defined in 1. See Utah Code 19-1-103
Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5

(2)	“Executive director” means the executive director of the department appointed pursuant to Section 19-1-104.

(3)	“Local health department” means a local health department as defined in 1.

(4)	“Person” means an individual, trust, firm, estate, company, corporation, partnership, association, state, state or federal agency or entity, municipality, commission, or political subdivision of a state.
