Terms Used In Utah Code 57-1-43

  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
  • Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
     The provisions of Sections 57-1-39 through 57-1-42 apply to any obligation secured by a trust deed or mortgage that was paid prior to, on, or after May 1, 1995.
