Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 700.12
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- Person: includes all partnerships, associations and bodies politic or corporate. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
With respect to membership in a class under a class gift, the status of a person who was born after the membership in the class was determined is governed by s. 854.21 (5).
