Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 14.20.440
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
Members of the commission shall receive per diem according to law and are to be granted administrative leave with full pay by their employer for time spent in the performance of official duties under Alaska Stat. § 14.20.370 – 14.20.510. If a member is required to spend more than 15 days in a fiscal year in the performance of official duties under Alaska Stat. § 14.20.370 – 14.20.510, the state shall reimburse the employer for costs incurred after the 15th day.
