Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 47.40.091

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
(2) “department” means the Department of Family and Community Services;
(3) “nonprofit corporation” means a corporation organized under Alaska Stat. Chapter 10.20;
(4) “residential services” means 24-hour care and supervision of minors in residential child care facilities that are commonly known as group homes or institutions.
