  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.

The governing body of any city or township is hereby empowered to accept by resolution as a gift any cemetery owned by religious bodies, denominations or unincorporated associations when such transfer is made in accordance with, and in the manner provided by, the bylaws of such religious body, denomination or unincorporated association.
