On July 1, 1988, whenever any board, council, committee or commission abolished under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 74-131 is referred to or designated by statute, contract, lease, agreement or other document, such reference or designation shall be void and of no force and effect, except that nothing in this act shall in any way impair existing contracts, leases or agreements.
