  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

(c) The terms of the 122nd District Court begin on the first Mondays in January and July.
(d) § 24.111, relating to the 10th District Court, contains provisions applicable to both that court and the 122nd District Court.
