(a) Except as provided by Sections 1951.212 and 1951.457(c), this chapter does not apply to a person who performs pest control work on property that the person owns or leases as the person’s dwelling.
(b) A person described by Subsection (a) is not considered to be engaged in the business of structural pest control.

- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
