Terms Used In Alabama Code 16-47A-7
- Adjourn: A motion to adjourn a legislative chamber or a committee, if passed, ends that day's session.
- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
Six members of the board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business, but a smaller number may adjourn from day to day until a quorum is present.
