Terms Used In Alabama Code 23-2-144
- Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.

No person who is related to a member of the authority may have any interest, direct or indirect, in any agreement or contract entered into pursuant to this subdivision or in any other contract related to any project related to a toll road.
