  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

An ordinance adopted under Alaska Stat. § 18.55.760 must provide that the corporation must exercise the powers prescribed by the ordinance. The ordinance must also contain the provisions set out in Alaska Stat. § 18.55.78018.55.850.
