Notwithstanding sections 15-841 and 15-842, the suspension or expulsion of children with disabilities, as defined in section 15-761, shall be in accordance with the individuals with disabilities education act (20 United States Code §§ 1410 through 1485) and federal regulations issued pursuant to the individuals with disabilities education act.

Terms Used In Arizona Laws 15-844

  • Expulsion: means the permanent withdrawal of the privilege of attending a school unless the governing board reinstates the privilege of attending the school. See Arizona Laws 15-840
  • Suspension: means the temporary withdrawal of the privilege of attending a school for a specified period of time. See Arizona Laws 15-840
