This chapter shall be construed and applied to:

  • Electronic: means relating to technology that has electrical, digital, magnetic, wireless, optical or electromagnetic capabilities or similar capabilities. See Arizona Laws 44-7002
  • State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. See Arizona Laws 44-7002

1. Facilitate electronic transactions consistent with other applicable law.

2. Be consistent with reasonable practices concerning electronic transactions and with the continued expansion of those practices.

3. Effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law of this state with respect to the subject of this chapter for intrastate, interstate and international transactions.
