Terms Used In Arizona Laws > Title 32 > Chapter 23

  • Agent: means any person who, for compensation, enrolls or attempts to enroll residents of this state in a professional driver training school through personal or telephone contact, advertisement, mail or any other type of publication. See Arizona Laws 32-2351
  • Director: means the director of the department of transportation. See Arizona Laws 32-2351
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Misdemeanor: Usually a petty offense, a less serious crime than a felony, punishable by less than a year of confinement.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • Property: includes both real and personal property. See Arizona Laws 1-215
  • Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
  • school: means a business enterprise conducted by an individual, association, partnership, or corporation that educates and trains persons, either practically or theoretically, or both, to operate or drive commercial motor vehicles, that prepares applicants for an examination given by the state for a commercial driver license or instruction permit and that charges a consideration or tuition for these services.
