The board shall initiate the process of adopting regulations on or before January 1, 2019, to require its licentiates and registrants to provide notice to their clients or patients that the practitioner is licensed or registered in this state by the board, that the practitioner’s license can be checked, and that complaints against the practitioner can be made through the board’s Internet Web site or by contacting the board.

- board: as used in this chapter means the Medical Board of California. See California Business and Professions Code 2002
- license: means license, certificate, registration, or other means to engage in a business or profession regulated by this code or referred to in Section 1000 or 3600. See California Business and Professions Code 23.7
- State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Business and Professions Code 21
