No licensee shall conduct a business as an individual, partnership, or corporation, unless the licensee holds a valid license issued to the same individual, partnership, or corporation.

Terms Used In California Business and Professions Code 6980.61

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • license: means license, certificate, registration, or other means to engage in a business or profession regulated by this code or referred to in Section 1000 or 3600. See California Business and Professions Code 23.7
  • Licensee: means a business entity, whether an individual, partnership, or corporation, licensed under this chapter. See California Business and Professions Code 6980
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
