The Attorney General shall render such opinions to and represent the board or any member in such matters as may be requested by the board or any such member. The district attorneys and other prosecuting attorneys of counties and cities shall prosecute violations of this part.

Upon request of the board, the Attorney General may appoint a special attorney to prosecute the violations specified in the request.
