(a) Pay under the provisions of Sections 19775 and 19775.1, excluding emergency military leave pay provisions, shall not exceed 30 calendar days in any one fiscal year. The beginning date of active duty shall determine the fiscal year in which the pay is accumulated when the period of active duty extends into another fiscal year.

(b) This section shall become operative on January 1, 2015.

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
