The election of directors to fill the additional vacancies on the board created by expansion shall be an election at large. A director elected at the election but receiving the lesser number of votes in the election shall hold office until a successor takes office pursuant to § 10554 of the Elections Code, and the director elected at the election receiving the greater number of votes shall hold office until two years thereafter.
