Terms Used In California Public Utilities Code 3340

  • Authority: means the California Consumer Power and Conservation Financing Authority established pursuant to Section 3320 and any board, commission, department, or officer succeeding to the functions thereof, or to whom the powers conferred upon the authority by this division shall be given by law. See California Public Utilities Code 3302
  • Board: means the Board of Directors of the California Consumer Power and Conservation Financing Authority. See California Public Utilities Code 3302
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.

(b) Sue and be sued in its own name.

(c) Employ or contract with officers and employees to administer the authority. The authority may contract for the services of a chief executive officer, who shall serve at the pleasure of the board. If the chief executive officer contracts for the services of any other officer or employee, the contract shall be subject to the approval of the board.

(d) Exercise the power of eminent domain.

(e) Adopt rules and regulations for the regulation of its affairs and the conduct of its business.

(f)Do all things generally necessary or convenient to carry out its powers under, and the purposes of, this division.
