- Commission: means the Public Utilities Commission created by §. See California Public Utilities Code 20
- Computer model: means a computer program. See California Public Utilities Code 1821
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Energy Commission: means the State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission. See California Public Utilities Code 20
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Public utility: includes every public utility and every business which is a commission regulated subsidiary or commission regulated affiliate of a public utility. See California Public Utilities Code 1821
- Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
- Verify: means to assess the extent to which the computer model mimics reality. See California Public Utilities Code 1821
