The department shall implement the state option in Section 402(a)(36) of the federal Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. § 602(a)(36)) and as that statute may hereinafter be amended, which provides that the value of support assistance or maintenance assistance, or both, provided in the form of any in-kind income on the basis of need to, or on behalf of, a family by all entities described in Section 402(a)(36) of the federal Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. § 602(a)(36)) and as that statute may hereinafter be amended shall be disregarded as income.
