The negotiator provided for in Section 14082 shall serve in such capacity for the 1982-83 fiscal year, after which his or her functions shall be assumed by the California Medical Assistance Commission. Commencing on July 1, 1983, any reference in this article or in Article 2.8 (commencing with Section 14087.5), and Article 2.91 (commencing with Section 14089) of this chapter to the negotiator shall be deemed to be references to the California Medical Assistance Commission.

As of July 1, 1983, the negotiator shall serve as the executive director of the commission.

Terms Used In California Welfare and Institutions Code 14082.5

  • director: means the State Director of Health Services. See California Welfare and Institutions Code 14061
  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
