(a) The Chief State’s Attorney shall develop, implement and update, as necessary, a training program on a uniform process for applying for and seeking the issuance of a detention order pursuant to § 46b-133. The Chief State’s Attorney shall administer such program and any updated program to those persons required to complete such program pursuant to subsection (b) of this section in a manner and frequency determined by said administrator.

- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
(b) Each prosecutorial official and peace officer, as defined in § 53a-3, except any judicial marshal or adult probation officer, shall complete the training program pursuant to subsection (a) of this section and as directed by the Chief State’s Attorney.
