(a) Notwithstanding the issuance of an order for support of a minor child or children by the Superior Court under the provisions of § 46b-84, any prosecution for nonsupport of a minor child or children as specified in § 53-304 may be brought to the geographical area of the superior court and shall proceed on proper complaint from the payee of the order, a support enforcement officer or an authorized representative of the Commissioner of Administrative Services.
