Any of the following may petition the superior court for the judicial district in which the violation occurs to enjoin any violations of § 53-302a or § 53-303b: (a) Any person engaged in work, labor or business prohibited or regulated by § 53-302a; (b) the Attorney General, or (c) any city or town in which a violation occurs. As used in this section, the term “person” means an individual or a business, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, firm or other organization or group of persons. Persons entitled to injunctive relief include but are not limited to persons competing with the defendant.

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
