§ 155. Compliance with state and local laws. All projects shall be subject to the planning, zoning, sanitary and building laws, ordinances and regulations applicable in the municipality in which the project is situated. Zoning regulations or other restrictions enacted by the municipality to adequately protect the area or areas of a project, as such area or areas are shown on an approved zoning map of such project filed with the municipal officer charged with enforcing such zoning regulations or other restrictions, shall thereafter be maintained without variance unless written notice of any proposed change, amendment or variance be given by the municipality to the housing authority erecting or owning such project and to the government providing financial aid or assistance to the project at least ten days prior to the date of any public hearing at which such proposed change, amendment or variance is to be considered.
