Terms Used In Florida Statutes 569.0075

  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
  • Tobacco products: includes loose tobacco leaves, and products made from tobacco leaves, in whole or in part, and cigarette wrappers, which can be used for smoking, sniffing, or chewing. See Florida Statutes 569.002
The gift of sample tobacco products to any person under the age of 21 by an entity licensed or permitted under the provisions of chapter 210 or this part, or by an employee of such entity, is prohibited and is punishable as provided in s. 569.101.
