  • Authority: means the Florida State Fair Authority. See Florida Statutes 616.001
  • person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
  • Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
The authority shall elect from among its members an executive committee to consist of a chair, who shall preside, a vice chair, a secretary, a treasurer, and such other officers as the authority may deem necessary or expedient in the performance of its functions. The same person may serve both as secretary and treasurer, if thus designated. The authority may delegate to any of its members, officers, agents, or employees any of its powers or duties, which delegation it deems necessary to fulfill its responsibilities, and shall establish bylaws and such rules of conduct and procedure as it may deem necessary to govern its own functioning. A majority of the members of the authority shall constitute a quorum. No vacancy in the membership shall impair the right of a quorum to exercise all of the powers, functions, and duties of the authority.
