  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.

No member of the Hawaii state defense force, by reason of membership therein, shall solicit or accept any compensation, gift, donation, gratuity, or thing of value from any source whatever except the pay and allowances provided under this chapter. Any person who violates this section shall be punished as may be directed by nonjudicial punishment or a court-martial.
