Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 502-52

  • Signature: means the name of a person as written by the individual, the affixing of a mark or finger or toe print, or electronic signature as that term is defined in chapter 489E. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 502-7

In the case of an official signature entitled to be judicially noticed pursuant to § 626-1, rule 901 or 902, the signature shall suffice to show due execution by the officer signing the instrument and the officer is not required to acknowledge the instrument in order to entitle it to be recorded.
