  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
     Upon written notice by the Board of Higher Education to any institution receiving or applying for a grant, the Board may examine the institution’s student enrollment records for the purpose of verification, amendment or correction and, as a condition of any grant, may require the institution to submit a post-grant audit to verify enrollments.
