Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 3310/50

  • Annuity: A periodic (usually annual) payment of a fixed sum of money for either the life of the recipient or for a fixed number of years. A series of payments under a contract from an insurance company, a trust company, or an individual. Annuity payments are made at regular intervals over a period of more than one full year.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Personnel previously assigned to the programs transferred from the Department of Nuclear Safety are hereby transferred to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency. The rights of the employees, the State, and executive agencies under the Personnel Code, any collective bargaining agreement, or any pension, retirement, or annuity plan shall not be affected by this Act.
