  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The Department of Human Services, the Illinois Community College Board and the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity may develop as a demonstration program a Family Resource Development Center for the benefit and use of an initial 20 low-income families. The Center shall establish an interdisciplinary approach that shall increase the coping skills of low-income families and develop the potential of low-income families through community economic development programs. Funding for the demonstration program shall be from existing moneys in supportive services funds, joint partnership training funds, and other existing moneys that are intended to meet the educational, vocational and training needs of recipients. The demonstration program shall be administered in accordance with existing federal and State statutes and regulations.
