Terms Used In Indiana Code 16-21-6-2

  • Charity: An agency, institution, or organization in existence and operating for the benefit of an indefinite number of persons and conducted for educational, religious, scientific, medical, or other beneficent purposes.
  • gross patient revenue: means inpatient and outpatient revenue from services to patients, including payments received from or on behalf of individual patients. See Indiana Code 16-21-6-1
   Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, “net patient revenue” means gross patient revenue less deductions for contractual adjustments, bad debts, and charity.
