Sec. 10. (a) A distributor may apply a stamp only to cigarettes that are received from a licensed importer or licensed manufacturer.
(c) A distributor may transfer unstamped cigarettes only as provided in IC 6-7-1-18.
(b) A distributor shall store stamped and unstamped cigarettes separately.
Terms Used In Indiana Code 24-3-6-10
- distributor: means a distributor (as defined in IC 6-7-1-6) that holds a registration certificate issued under IC 6-7-1-16. See Indiana Code 24-3-6-2
- importer: means a person that brings cigarettes into the United States for sale or distribution. See Indiana Code 24-3-6-3
- licensed: means holding a license issued under section 9 of this chapter. See Indiana Code 24-3-6-4
- manufacturer: means a person that manufactures or otherwise produces cigarettes to be sold in the United States. See Indiana Code 24-3-6-5
- stamp: has the meaning set forth in IC 6-7-1-9. See Indiana Code 24-3-6-8
