Sec. 2. A sponsor or promoter who violates this article is liable to an aggrieved person for the greater of:
(2) five hundred dollars ($500) plus attorney‘s fees.
(1) two (2) times the actual damages sustained by the person; or

- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
