Sec. 8. (a) If the task force, by the affirmative votes of a majority of the voting members of the task force, votes to require that a development authority should be established under this chapter, the development authority shall be established.

     (b) A unit may not create a reuse authority under IC 36-7-30 for all or part of a military base that is:

  • development authority: means a military base development authority established under section 8 of this chapter. See Indiana Code 36-7-30.5-4
  • military base: means a United States government military base or other military installation that is:

    Indiana Code 36-7-30.5-5

  • task force: refers to the Indiana defense task force established by Indiana Code 36-7-30.5-6.5
(1) governed by this chapter; and

(2) located within the boundaries of the unit.
