  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • city block: means both sides of the part of a public street that lies between two (2) intersecting public streets. See Indiana Code 36-9-9-2
  • Clerk: means the clerk of the court or a person authorized to perform the clerk's duties. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
