1. The position of state public health dental director is established within the department.
Terms Used In Iowa Code 135.14
- Department: means the Iowa department of public health. See Iowa Code 135.61
- Director: means the director of public health, or the director's designee. See Iowa Code 135.61
- following: when used by way of reference to a chapter or other part of a statute mean the next preceding or next following chapter or other part. See Iowa Code 4.1
- State: means a state, territory, or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See Iowa Code 152E.3
2. The dental director shall perform all of the following duties:
a. Plan and direct all work activities of the statewide public health dental program.
b. Develop comprehensive dental initiatives for prevention activities.
c. Evaluate the effectiveness of the statewide public health dental program and of program personnel.
d. Manage the oral and health delivery systems bureau including direction, supervision, and fiscal management of bureau staff.
e. Other related work as required.
