Terms Used In Iowa Code > Chapter 819 - Uniform Act to Secure Witnesses From Without the State
- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- following: when used by way of reference to a chapter or other part of a statute mean the next preceding or next following chapter or other part. See Iowa Code 4.1
- Grand jury: agreement providing that a lender will delay exercising its rights (in the case of a mortgage,
