Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 17-1329

  • Abandoned cemetery: means :

    (1) Any cemetery owned by a corporation, as defined in Kan. See Kansas Statutes 17-1366

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.

It shall be the duty of the trustees or treasurer of such cemetery corporation or association, or the township trustee, to apply the proceeds of such sale or sales to the permanent maintenance and care of the remaining graves in such abandoned cemetery.
