  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC

  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

All expenses incurred in the sale or lease of any property under the provisions of this act shall be paid out of the proceeds of the sale or lease agreement. Except as provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 75-5282 and amendments thereto, the balance of such proceeds shall be credited by the state treasurer to the state general fund.
