- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The procedure that is, or may be, prescribed for condemnation proceedings instituted by boards of county road commissioners or the procedure that is, or may be, provided for the condemnation by state agencies and public corporations of private property for the use or benefit of the public, is hereby expressly made applicable to any proceeding brought by the state highway commissioner under the provisions of this act.
