  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
   Failure on the part of any person to perform any duty enjoined upon him by the provisions of this act shall be deemed a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof such person shall be subject to a fine of not less than 50 dollars nor more than 500 dollars, or to imprisonment in the county jail for a term of not less than 30 days nor more than 6 months; or to both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
